Terms of Service
These terms are the agreement between you and Landed. By creating an account or using Landed you accept them. The short version: Landed helps you find hiring posts and send your own job applications from your own email account. You are the sender, so the emails are your responsibility. Use Landed for real applications to people who asked for them, never for spam.
1. Who we are
Landed is an online service at landed-job.com operated by its founder. You can reach us at the support chat on this site.
2. What Landed does
Landed finds public job posts that invite applications by email, lets you organise the contacts behind them, and sends individual applications with your CV from your own Gmail account, at a human pace. It also offers a public job board, a default message, and statistics about your campaigns. Landed does not promise any reply, interview or job offer. Hiring decisions belong to the people you write to.
3. Who may use Landed
You must be at least 18 years old, or the age of majority where you live if that is higher, and able to enter a binding contract. If you use Landed on behalf of an organisation, you confirm that you may accept these terms for it.
4. Your account
Give accurate information, keep your password to yourself, and tell us promptly if you think someone else has used your account. You are responsible for what happens in your account. One account is for one person.
5. Your emails and your responsibility
Every email a campaign sends goes out from your email account, under your name, on your instruction. You are the sender and you are responsible for its content and for whom you send it to. You agree to:
- send only individual job applications and professional follow-ups to people or companies who published a way to be contacted about jobs, never advertising, bulk marketing or unrelated offers;
- read and approve the message a campaign sends, and keep what you say about yourself, your experience and your qualifications truthful;
- stop writing to anyone who asks you to stop, at once;
- follow the laws that apply to your messages where you and your recipients are, including data protection and anti-spam laws such as the EU General Data Protection Regulation and ePrivacy rules, the US CAN-SPAM Act and Canada's Anti-Spam Legislation;
- follow Google's terms and sending limits for the Gmail account you connect.
We may pause a campaign or an account whose emails draw complaints, bounce at unusual rates, or look like spam, and we will tell you why.
6. What you must not do
- Harass, threaten, deceive or discriminate against anyone, or send unlawful, hateful or sexual content.
- Impersonate another person or misrepresent who you are.
- Collect contacts to sell, share or build lists for others, or use them for anything other than your own job search.
- Send malware, phishing, or links meant to mislead.
- Access other accounts, probe or overload the service, get around its limits, or copy, scrape or automate Landed itself.
- Resell or sublicense access to Landed.
7. Posts, contacts and other people's content
Discovery, the job board and file imports show content that other people published on platforms such as LinkedIn, Facebook, X and Hacker News. Landed finds public posts through search engines and public pages and never signs in to those platforms for you. Those platforms are not affiliated with Landed and do not endorse it.
We do not check posts. A post can be outdated, inaccurate or fraudulent. Check an opportunity before you rely on it, and never pay anyone to be considered for a job. For contacts you import from your own files, you confirm you have the right to use them.
8. Your content
You keep ownership of your CV, messages, contacts and settings. You allow us to store, copy, process and send them only as needed to run Landed for you, as the Privacy Policy describes. One addition: when a contact in your account came from a public job post, the post's public text and link may appear on the public job board. Your messages, your notes and the contact's email address never do.
9. Your Gmail connection
You connect sending with a Google app password, not your Gmail password. We store it encrypted and use it only to send the campaigns you start and to test the connection when you ask. You can revoke it at any time in your Google account, which stops all sending at once.
10. Plans, payment and cancellation
The free plan's allowances are given once and do not refill. Paid plans are subscriptions billed in advance, monthly or yearly, and renew automatically until you cancel. Prices and taxes are shown before you pay.
Our order process is conducted by our online reseller Paddle.com. Paddle.com is the Merchant of Record for all our orders. Paddle provides all customer service inquiries and handles returns. Paddle's own buyer terms apply to your payment.
You can cancel at any time from your Profile page. Your plan keeps working until the end of the period you paid for and nothing more is charged. Refunds follow the Refund Policy. If we change a price, we tell you at least 30 days before it applies, and it applies from your next renewal.
11. Availability and changes to the service
We work to keep Landed available and accurate, but we cannot promise it will be uninterrupted or error free. Features can change, and outside sources such as search engines or platforms can stop giving results. If we remove a main feature of a paid plan, we tell you in advance and you may cancel with a pro rata refund of the unused period.
12. Suspension and deletion
You can delete your account at any time from your Profile page. Your data is then removed as the Privacy Policy explains. We may suspend or close an account that breaks these terms, puts others or us at legal risk, or is not paid for. We tell you why, unless the law or an investigation prevents it.
13. No warranties
Landed is provided "as is" and "as available". As far as the law allows, we give no warranty that it fits a particular purpose, that results or contacts are accurate, or that it will lead to any outcome.
14. Limits on our liability
As far as the law allows, we are not liable for indirect or consequential losses, such as lost income, lost opportunities, lost data or damage to reputation. Our total liability for any claim about Landed is limited to the amount you paid us in the 12 months before the claim, or 50 US dollars if you paid nothing. Nothing in these terms limits liability that the law does not allow to be limited, such as liability for fraud, or rights you have as a consumer that cannot be waived.
15. Claims about your emails
If someone makes a claim against us because of an email you sent, content you uploaded, or your breach of these terms, you agree to cover our reasonable costs and losses from that claim, as far as the law allows.
16. Changes to these terms
We may update these terms. For a significant change we tell you by email or in the app at least 15 days before it takes effect, and ask you to accept the new version before you continue. If you do not agree, you can cancel and delete your account. If the change is materially worse for you, we refund the unused part of a prepaid period.
17. Law and disputes
Before any formal step, please write to us: most problems are solved by a message. If a dispute cannot be settled that way, it goes to the courts that have jurisdiction under the applicable law. If you are a consumer, you keep the protection of the mandatory laws of the country where you live and may bring a claim there.
18. General
These terms, the Privacy Policy and the Refund Policy are the whole agreement between us about Landed. If a part is found invalid, the rest still applies. Not enforcing a part is not a waiver of it. We may transfer this agreement to a company that takes over running Landed, and we will tell you if that happens. You may not transfer your account without our consent.
